To the right you will find the collections we offer for event photography. ALL collections include:

1. Digital image files. You will receive a digital copy of your entire collection of pictures within two weeks of your event and complete freedom to print, copy, or post as many of them as you want!

2. Basic image editing. We will do minor editing adjustments (cropping, adjusting contrast, etc.) or tone highlights (black-and-white, sepia, etc.) on images we select. These will be included with your digital image files.

3. Custom Packaging. Your images will show up on CDs/DVDs (your choice) that have been personalized uniquely for you!

4. Print selection. If you choose a collection that comes with prints, we will include a form with your images that allows you to select the ones you want printed. Simply return the form to us and you'll get the prints you want!

5. Complimentary travel time. Our time to and from your event is not included in your coverage, so you are only paying us for the time we are there. (Note: If your event is more than one hour away from our location, we will charge additional travel cost which will be clearly detailed in your contract.)

Family / Maternity / Engagement Sessions
We also offer one-hour sessions for other things like family photos, maternity or engagement sessions, etc. Here are the details on this collection:

How do I contact you?

Send us an e-mail (apky@apky.biz) with the following information: your name, the date (and approximate times) of your event, and the type of event (wedding, portrait session, party, etc.) that you need pictures of. Please note: If you would like us to reply to a different e-mail address than the one you are sending us a message from, be sure to include that address as well!

How much do you charge?

We charge based on the collections listed above, plus any add-ons you select. (In cases where the event is located more than one hour away from our business, we will charge for travel time, which will be detailed in your contract.)

Do I get digital copies of the pictures?

Yes. After we cover your event, we'll do some minor editing and adjustments (in Adobe Lightroom) to certain pictures (such as adjusting the contrast, removing red eye, or cropping out empty space), at our discretion. We'll include these edited images--along with the originals--with your digital image files. You get to choose if you want them on CD-R or DVD-R and they will be postmarked within 10 business days of your event. When you receive your digital image files, you also receive license to reproduce, edit, print, and back-up your pictures. (Please note that Affordable Photography KY, LLC will retain the right to forever use any and all images for promotional or referential purposes without any additional consent.)

How good are your pictures?

While “good” is a very subjective term, we wouldn’t offer our service if our photography wasn't up to par. Of course, it’s your opinion that will matter the most, so we highly encourage all prospective clients to view our online portfolios. The images you see there are exemplary of the type of images you will receive, so let that help you make your decision. Bottom line: we’d rather you hire someone else than be displeased with your pictures.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Rest assured, we won’t show up with little point-and-shoot cameras! We use two Canon digital SLRs (the 18.0MP T2i and the 10.0MP XS) each equipped with add-on flash, and we always carry spare batteries! We have extra memory cards, chargers, and lenses on hand in case of emergency. While no one can prepare for every circumstance, Affordable Photography KY strives to be as ready as possible.

What kind of coverage do you offer?

Having two photographers allows you to have full coverage and preserve your most important moments. Depending on how long you request us to be there, the total number of shots you receive will vary. Although we cannot give exact numbers, a typical wedding/reception will get between 100 and 200 shots per hour – some more, some less. We strive to be as unobtrusive as possible. After all, the event is about you, not us! We will do our best to remain out of the way and let the attention focus on you during your event. We will treat you and your family with respect and courtesy throughout our time with you. We will also dress appropriately for the occasion, which is most often in a business-casual style.

How far in advance do I have to book my event?

Although we try to be flexible with each client’s needs, we generally prefer that you book your event (especially weddings) at least three (3) months in advance. This allows us time to learn your specific needs and gives you plenty of time to review the contract and pick exactly what kind of services you want.

What if I have to cancel/move the date of my event?

Cancellations are allowed as long as notice is given 72 hours prior to the first time we are scheduled to arrive. After that, you will still be billed for the services you selected. Rescheduling your event depends entirely upon our availability. If we are able, we will also switch the date. If not, Affordable Photography KY will be unable to provide services and will cancel. Remember, all deposits are non-refundable.

What if I decide on the day of the event to have you stay longer?

This will be entirely subject to our availability. Also, the request must be made by the person(s) who signed the contract, as that is the only way we can bill for the additional time. If we agree to stay past our contracted time limit, then Affordable Photography KY will bill you for the additional time following our billing practices as detailed in the contract. In this instance, we will not deliver the image files until any additional payment has cleared.

What if my event doesn’t last as long as I’d planned?

We understand that these events are flexible by nature and that it is not always possible to know exactly how long things will last. Affordable Photography KY will work with you to ensure that you are billed based on the correct amount of time (including travel) that we spend at your event, including refunds (excluding any deposits) if applicable.

What can I do with my digital image files once I receive them?

We release all copyright restrictions once we mail your image files. This means that you can reproduce or publish them without our permission. You can print albums, make online slideshows, or enlarge images for wall frames. (Please note that Affordable Photography KY, LLC will retain the right to forever use any and all images for promotional or referential purposes without any additional consent.)

How long does it take to get prints and/or books?

If you choose a collection that offers prints or storybooks, they will arrive at a later time than your image files. In the case of books, we will begin putting them together right away and in most cases can have them to you within 4 weeks of your event. Prints are different because after we send you the image files and the print order form, you have to send us back the images you want printed. After we get that information, we will get your prints ordered and delivered to you typically within 2 weeks.
